Harry Potter and the Suffering Structure

by Chris Huntley

Though the Dramatica User's Group arrived at a single storyform for this film, it was generally agreed that the film is very underdeveloped structurally-speaking and that it could have benefitted from serious structural work.

That said, the Storyform it could have been would have these settings:

Change, Stop, Do-er, Logical, Action, Optionlock, Success, Good, Physics, Understanding, Instinct, Ability

  • MC Throughline - Harry Potter
  • OS Throughline - Year One at Hogwarts/Protecting the Sorcerer's Stone
  • IC Throughline - Ron/Hermione/Hagrid/??? (here is where it begins to break down)
  • RS Throughline - ???

The lack of a well-developed and fully explored Relationship Throughline prevents this film from successfully making a Grand Argument.
