The Desolation of DWG
December 1, 2013
Hey Dramatihobbits,
We are holding our penultimate Writers Group of the year this Tuesday, December 3rd. Since no one has stepped up to book a project for the night, we will throw it into "open meeting" territory. That means if you have a verbal pitch you want to try out in front of the group, you are welcome to bring it. Or if you have a specific Dramatica- or writing-related question or point of discussion you want to raise, please do so. If you have a short video that you'd like to group-analyze (up to 30 min., such as a TV show you want to write a spec for), we can do that but let me know in advance so I can arrange for the projector. We could also do a Story Embroidery exercise as a warm-up for the Users Group meeting a week later. Whatever comes up, we always manage to have an interesting and productive two hours. 7:00 on Tuesday -- don't miss out!
Speaking of the Users Group, I'm going to mention it now because I will be out of town next weekend and won't be able to send an update. That DUG is Dec. 10th, and Chris Huntley will lead our annual Story Embroidery session, where we take a randomly generated storyform and create an original story from it as a group. Really fun and educational, and often quite astonishing what great stuff comes out of it! That's 7:00 a week from Tuesday, on 12/10.
Looking forward another week, we will have another DWG on 12/17, so if you'd like to schedule a project for discussion then, let me know any time (the sooner the better).
So I hope everyone survived Black Friday. See you on Ruby Tuesday!
Sandy
