Is This DWG White & Gold, or Blue & Black?

March 7, 2015

Hey Dramatidressdebaters,

We have a Users Group and a Writers Group coming up, so let me start with the Writers Group.  For that gathering a week from Tuesday -- March 17th -- E. Cross is submitting an outline for a feature screenplay.  The outline is 44 pages (though it's not really as long as it sounds -- there's a fair amount of dialog, double-spacing, etc.) and uses a Dramatica framework (signposts, etc.).

The material is available to start reading now.  If you plan to attend the DWG on 3/17 (wearing green, hopefully), let me know anytime and I will forward it to you.  As usual, please commit to contacting the author on your own if you receive the material and then can't make the meeting.

Now to the Users Group this coming Tuesday, March 10th:  We will analyze the movie that just won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film, "Ida" from Poland.  The movie will be screened in the conference room starting at 5:00 (yes, I believe there will be subtitles), and the discussion will begin at 7:00 -- Pacific Daylight Time (remember, change your clocks tonight!).  All at Write Bros. in Burbank...in case you need that reminder...

If you're joining us by remote, be sure to work out your Google-Plus participation with Jim Hull -- for information visit http://dramatica.com/community/users-group/online

So that's Users Group on 3/10, Writers Group on 3/17, and then we have two weeks off.  The first DWG in April, 4/7, is already committed, so if you have a project to schedule, let me know if you'd like to take 4/21.

That's all the latest.  See you on Tuesday!

Sandy

P.S. If you don't get the reference in the Subject line, just google "white gold blue black".  (By the way, it's CLEARLY blue & gold!!  Why aren't we given that choice?!?)
