Bacurau
A remote Brazilian village becomes the target of outsiders in Bacurau, but a forceful social allegory does not automatically make a complete dramatic argument. Chris Huntley and the Dramatica Users Group examine the villagers’ struggle, debate possible Main and Influence Characters, and ask whether the film develops the personal and relationship material needed to support its Objective Story. The group does not settle on a complete Storyform; the recording also includes a useful discussion of the Influence Character’s function.
